Did you know that there are over 11,000 inland lakes in Michigan bigger than 5 acres! According to the Michigan Historical Society, you are never more than 6 miles from an inland lake or more than 85 miles from one of the Great Lakes. This makes diving truly accessible!

What are Wednesday Night Dives?

Some 43 years ago, we decided that scuba diving needed to be more accessible and more affordable. New divers needed to get experience, single divers needed to find buddies and .....heck everyone needed a mid-week break. So, that's why we started Wednesday Night Dives. These are FREE weekly dives to a variety of local lakes and EVERYONE is welcome to join us! Simply show up to the dive site, no advance registration is needed.

Once again Eric Rohloff will be organizing this summer's dives. He has been diving since the mid-1980s and has a wealth of dive experience and will answer any of your questions and concerns.

Dates: Every Wednesday from May thru September.

Evening Schedule:*

6 pm: Show up for dive, sign-in and suit up
6:30 pm: Dive - Sharp Please be dressed and ready to enter the water.
7:30 pm: End of dive
7:30-8:30 pm: Social Hour/Tailgate

Discount on Rental Gear

For your safety, the dives will be called out if the following occurs
* Thunderstorm Watch or Warning
* Severe Heat Warning
* Tornado Watch or Warning
* In the county where we are diving
* Between the times of 5pm - 10pm

Don't own gear? No worries. When you participate in a Sub-Aquatic Sports Wednesday Night Dive, you'll receive 30% off rental rates on everything except tanks. Rentals are for a 24-hour period so either rent gear on Wednesday before the dive and return it on Thursday before 6pm when we close OR pick up the rental gear up on Tuesday before 6pm and return it after Wednesday's dive; we close at 8pm. Yes, this is technically more than 24 hr but it okay. Note: You must participate in the SASS Wednesday Night Dive to receive the discount.
