Wakatobi is an award-winning luxury eco dive resort in Southeast Sulawesi, Indonesia. It is in a location totally removed from the real world, where entertainment consists of unlimited dives, gourmet meals and starry nights.
Dive boats are spacious with one guide per four divers. They are knowledgeable about the creatures found in these waters including frog fish, pigmy seahorses, cuttlefish, leaf fish and ghost pipe fish. Wakatobi a photographers dream. While you're photographic some exotic creature, the guide is finding something else for you to see. The average dive time is 70minutes and time flies fast.
Getting There: Wakatobi is very remote but with a little planning, it is surprisingly easy to get to. Our group stopped in Bali to tour the temples, volcanoes and rice paddies. I recommend you do the same. The Bali pictures below include the cremation of a royal family member (large float, purple bull and mass crowds of celebrators).
